Since the 1970s, GALLOP has been supporting Philadelphia's LGBTQ+ legal community and paving the legal path for gay rights in Philadelphia and the United States.

Our purpose

GALLOP’s primary purpose is to advocate for and promote the civil and human rights of LGBTQ+ individuals; to improve access to LBGTQ+ attorneys; and to improve the business opportunities, advancement, and employment of LGBTQ+ attorneys. GALLOP shall also promote the welfare of society by advocating civil and human rights of all persons, regardless of race, creed, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity or national origin.

Rights are won only by those who make their voices heard.

  • GALLOP has signed on to amicus curiae briefs to advocate for LGBTQ+ rights locally and nationally

  • Before it was safe to be out, GALLOP connected members of the LGBTQ+ legal community for fellowship and support.
