The Judicial Conference of the US Committee on the Administration of the Bankruptcy System is presenting a program to provide information on paths to becoming a judge. The event will include small group discussions with federal judges and an opportunity to meet and mingle with other diverse lawyers, law students, and federal judges. GALLOP is partnering with Lambda Legal, LeGaL, the National Trans Bar Association, and the Philadelphia Bar Association’s LGBT Rights Committee to host an evening reception for Lavender Law which will be held at Drexel Law’s KITA building (100-118 S. 12th Street). There will be food, an open wine and beer bar, and some great performances and music courtesy of Tabu and DJ Ka$h.
The 2019 Annual YLD/Affinity Bar Quizzo is a great opportunity for the affinity bar associations, such as GALLOP, to get together for a fun night of drinks, networking, and, of course, quizzo. The Young Lawyers Division will host a Diversity Reception on June 12, 2019. At the reception, YLD with the Philadelphia Bar Associations affinity bar groups, including GALLOP, will award five scholarships to law students from diverse backgrounds.
GALLOP will be participating in the 2019 Pride Run. For those joining GALLOP on the Pride Run, we will be meeting at UBar (1220 Locust Street). There will be coffee, juice, and water before the run, which starts at 10:00 a.m. at the corner of 12th and Locust Street.
